"I need to rest a little now," says Sinner after his defeat in Halle
Back on grass after a memorable final at Roland-Garros, Sinner stumbled against Bublik in the second round of Halle (3-6, 6-3, 6-4). He had previously eliminated Hanfmann in the first round. Speaking to the press after the match, the Italian shared his thoughts on his performance:
"After the loss in Paris, it wasn’t easy to come here and compete again. I’m relatively satisfied to have played two matches on grass before Wimbledon. I need to rest a little now."
The world No. 1 will not retain his title in Halle and will arrive in London with only two grass-court matches under his belt. His opponent, meanwhile, will face Machac for a spot in the tournament's semifinals.
