"I want to keep working on the things that will help me improve," says Fritz after his loss to Alcaraz at Wimbledon

Taylor Fritz will not be playing in his first Wimbledon final. Despite a strong run, the American fell in the semifinals to two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz (6-4, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5).
Despite a solid performance, the world No. 5 couldn’t find the key to defeating the Spaniard, who is now on a 24-match winning streak on the ATP Tour.
In the press conference, the Californian was disappointed with his loss but acknowledged that he’ll need to beat the best players in the world if he wants to win major titles in the coming months.
"Every time I play against these guys, I learn a lot about what I need to do to improve and get better. Moving forward, I want to keep working on the things that will help me improve and compete with them.
"My ultimate goal is to win a Grand Slam, and I think I’ll have to beat these guys at some point to do it. I’m learning more about my game, what I need to do differently, and what I need to do better to reach that level.
"So it’s about staying healthy. That’s the biggest thing I’ve had to deal with. You know, I’ve had a lot of injuries this year, but I just have to keep trying to improve like I’ve been doing for the past few years," Fritz explained to *L'Équipe*.
