I wanted to go further than this semifinal," Boisson reflects after her elimination at the gates of the Roland-Garros final

The sensational run of Loïs Boisson at Roland-Garros came to an end this Thursday, as the 22-year-old player was defeated in the semifinals by world No. 2 Coco Gauff (6-1, 6-2).
In a press conference, France’s new No. 1 shared her thoughts after the loss and reflected on her tournament filled with remarkable achievements:
"She played too well for me today. She made me run all over the court. It was very tough against such a solid and precise player who made no mistakes. She did everything just a little better, and I couldn’t find a solution. At the start of the match, I felt good physically. But as the match went on, it got harder and harder. [...]
Today, I’m extremely disappointed because I wanted to go further than this semifinal. I need to process this, and we’ll see what comes next. Confidence is never permanent because we play tournaments every week, and anything can happen.
So you have to try to stay positive every week to keep as much confidence as possible. This week was very positive, but today, it was simply too tough. I couldn’t get my game going.
I’m not necessarily worried about changes in my daily life. That’s tennis: when you win and break into the top 100, people naturally take an interest in you. It’s the logical next step. I don’t feel pressure about that. I’m very well supported, and I’ll keep my feet on the ground.
