Coco Gauff advanced to her second career Roland-Garros final (after 2022) by defeating Loïs Boisson.
The American only conceded three games along the way but took the time to share a few words about her opponent in the press conference—Boisson, who was far from expected to reach this stage of the tournament:
"I think it might be a bit complicated for her because very few have performed as strongly as she has at Roland-Garros in recent years. The entire country will now have expectations of her.
If I have any advice for her, it’s to stay true to herself and keep following what her team expects from her, not what the media or tennis experts demand.
I think that would be the only advice. I don’t know her very well, but with such a run and the media attention, everything has happened very fast. I believe she has a good head on her shoulders. The next few months might feel strange for her, but she’ll eventually adjust.
