I watched the final in the parking lot on my iPad while listening to music," recounts Gauff's father.

Gauff won her first title at Roland-Garros after an absolutely breathtaking final against Sabalenka. After losing the first set, she ultimately clinched the match after 2 hours and 38 minutes of play.
While her mother was spotted in her player's box, her father was notably absent. Indeed, he prefers not to attend matches due to overwhelming stress. In an interview with Tennis Channel, Corey Gauff shared an unusual anecdote about where he had to watch his daughter's final:
"I was supposed to watch the match from the lounge, but it was occupied by the band performing right before the final, so I had to go sit in the parking lot. I watched the match on my iPad while listening to music so I wouldn’t have to hear the commentary.
I stood up at match point. For the first one, I started walking toward the player’s box, and she lost the point. When she lost the next one and faced a break point, I went back to my seat. I told myself: I’m not moving until it’s over!
