"I would love to be seeded at Wimbledon," says Boulter as she begins the grass season

Ranked 34th in the world, Katie Boulter has big goals for the grass season. After her opening victory at the WTA 500 Queen's tournament against Ajla Tomljanovic (7-6, 1-6, 6-4), the British player will now face Diana Shnaider for a spot in the quarterfinals of this home tournament.
With Wimbledon starting in two weeks, the 28-year-old player hasn’t hidden her ambitions for the coming weeks and hopes to do everything she can to break into the top 32 players in the world.
"I would love to be seeded at Wimbledon. It makes a difference in terms of ranking, especially regarding who you might face in the early rounds, but at the same time, it’s not my only focus.
I just want to build good momentum heading into the grass season. I want to play as many matches as possible on this surface, which is why I’ll be competing in three tournaments before Wimbledon to see what I can bring out of myself.
This is one of the best times of the year for me. Playing in front of a home crowd brings a different energy—there’s definitely some nerves, but mostly I feel excited and motivated.
The support from the fans is something I never take for granted. It pushes me to give everything I have on the court," said Boulter, a former world No. 23, to Tennis365.
