Ideally, you don’t open up when you’re eliminated in the first round of a Grand Slam," Becker’s reaction to Zverev’s comments on his mental health

At Wimbledon, Alexander Zverev was knocked out in the first round, losing to Arthur Rinderknech after a match played over two days.
During the press conference, the German admitted he was going through a tough phase mentally, expressing feelings of loneliness. A few weeks later, former champion Boris Becker addressed the topic in comments reported by Tennis365:
"Alexander Zverev is like an adopted son to me in a sporting sense. I have a lot of empathy for him. If I had been his coach, I would have advised him not to share such details about his mental state during the press conference. Ideally, you don’t confide in people when you’re eliminated in the first round of a Grand Slam.
But maybe he needed to get it off his chest. I’m convinced he will win a Grand Slam and become world No. 1 at some point. Becoming No. 1 is hard, but staying No. 1 is the toughest thing in the world.
