If you stop wanting to improve, that's when others start beating you," Lendl's praise for the Sinner-Alcaraz duo

World number one (1983) and eight-time Grand Slam champion, Lendl left his mark on tennis. Known for his outspokenness, the former Czechoslovakian tennis player, who became a U.S. citizen in 1992, later coached Murray (2016-2017 and then 2022-2023) and Zverev (2018-2019).
Rarely seen in the media, the 65-year-old recently shared his thoughts on Sinner and Alcaraz's dominance on the tour. He stated:
"I don't know Sinner personally, but he seems to have the desire to always improve. And that's a great quality. If you stop doing that, that's when others start beating you, and he understands that. In the past, I saw that he was vulnerable, but that's no longer the case precisely because he's constantly improving.
Alcaraz and Sinner are the two best in the world, and that's a good thing for tennis. There are so many strong players today, and anyone can beat anyone. However, it's true that Jannik and Carlos are superior, and when they lose, it's a real surprise.
