"I’ll try to get a better partner next year," Navarro jokes about her doubles pairing with Sinner

On the TNT Sports set, Navarro responded to questions about her partnership with Sinner for the brand-new mixed doubles format at the US Open. With humor, she shared her thoughts on the event:
"He begged me to play, he told me: 'I’ve heard about your volleys and your doubles skills. Please, will you play with me?' I said: 'Of course. You’re not the best player, but I’ll make an exception and try to get a better partner next year.'
No, I’m kidding, I think it’s going to be really fun. I’ll have to handle my share of responsibility on the court, and I think it’ll be a blast, so I’m excited. I’ll have a lot of pressure and expectations to live up to out there. I know there’ll be forehands to hit left and right, plus a ton of aces."
Fresh off her performance at Wimbledon, the American dominated the Czech and soon-to-retire Kvitova and will face Kudermetova in the second round.
