I'm devastated to have lost," Draper reflects on his defeat against Bublik

Eliminated in a surprise upset by the Kazakh and world No. 62 Bublik, Draper exited Roland-Garros in the round of 16. Arriving in Paris as a top 5 player, the Brit expressed his disappointment in the press conference after his loss:
"I'm devastated to have lost. I had an opportunity, and I missed it. It's hard for me to put things into perspective, but I think I'm still proud of the effort I put in on clay. I believe I've improved a lot. Last year, I left here with a first-round loss, ranked 40th in the world, and very disappointed with my tennis.
This year, I’m leaving as the world No. 5, I reached the fourth round, and I’m playing really good tennis week after week. Yes, I’m always trying to learn from my losses. I always use that pain to get better afterward. It’ll probably take me a few days to get over it, but I will, and I’ll move on and keep improving.
