I'm intrigued by this grass-court match," Alcaraz opens up ahead of his quarterfinal against Rublev at Wimbledon

Having secured his spot in the second week of Wimbledon, Alcaraz had to work hard in some of his early rounds in England. First against Fognini in a five-set battle, then in the third round against Struff, where he dropped a set.
The 22-year-old defending champion will now face Russia’s Rublev, who reached the quarterfinals here in 2023. Ahead of the clash, he shared his thoughts in an interview published by Tennis World Italia:
"Andrey is a very powerful player. I think he always plays well on grass because he loves being aggressive. When he finds his forehand, he enjoys moving his opponent from side to side. It’s going to be very tough to play against him. In a way, I think we have similar styles: we both always try to set up our forehand.
It’s going to be a very interesting match and a big challenge, but I’m ready for it. We’ll see how it goes. We’ve faced each other in big matches before. I’m happy to play him again and intrigued that this match is on grass.
