Impossible to Return Before January," Pouille Updates on His Injury
Working as a consultant for Prime Video during Roland-Garros, Lucas Pouille had the opportunity to interview several players on the courts.
The 31-year-old player, who suffered an Achilles tendon rupture in February, is still far from making his return to competition. Speaking to *L’Équipe*, he took the chance to discuss his recovery:
"I’d love to be competing at Roland-Garros next year and for the next two or three seasons. I’ve started my first runs, my first little jog… because it really was small! Everything is going well with the Achilles tendon. It’s progressing nicely, following its course. It’s going to require patience, with the wrist too.
I still have a few weeks in a brace, and then I’ll need to do some serious rehab to regain full mobility in my wrist and get back to tennis as soon as possible. There’s still quite a bit of time until then. But it’s impossible to return before January. There’s no chance.
