Incessant Rain in Seoul: WTA 500 Quarterfinals Postponed to Saturday

The weather conditions in Seoul have forced the organizers to move the WTA 500 quarterfinals to Saturday. Spectators are anticipating thrilling matches, notably the one between Iga Swiatek and Barbora Krejcikova.
The WTA 500 quarterfinals in Seoul will not take place as planned this Friday. Due to the incessant rain in the Korean capital, the eight remaining players cannot take to the court on September 19.
Thus, the scheduled matches, as well as the semifinals, will be played this Saturday. The Tauson-Joint, Lamens-Siniakova, Swiatek-Krejcikova, and Seidel-Alexandrova matches are therefore postponed to tomorrow.
Initially, the four matches were scheduled on the Center Court, but the scheduling will be different on Saturday. The matches between Iga Swiatek and Barbora Krejcikova as well as between Ella Seidel and Ekaterina Alexandrova will remain on the same court, while the Clara Tauson-Maya Joint and Suzan Lamens-Katerina Siniakova matches will take place on the Grandstand.
