Masters 1000: Only Two Players Have Conceded Three Games or Less Against Iga Swiatek
It's the kind of victory that doesn't go unnoticed. Jasmine Paolini delivered an outstanding performance against Swiatek (6-1, 6-2) in the quarterfinals of the WTA 1000 in Wuhan.
Facing Iga Swiatek, world number 2 and four-time Roland-Garros champion, Paolini conceded only three games throughout the entire match in a WTA 1000 tournament, a level of dominance rarely matched.
What makes this success even more remarkable is its rarity: Paolini is only the second player to have beaten Swiatek while allowing her three games or less in a WTA 1000 match.
And in a twist of fate: the only other player to have achieved this feat is none other than Coco Gauff (6-1, 6-1 in Madrid in 2025), whom she will face in the next round.
