It's now official. Richard Gasquet will retire at the end of the 2025 French Open.

Interviewed by our Clay Tennis colleagues, the man from Biterrois was kind enough to talk about a wide range of subjects.

Looking back on his fondest memories with compatriots, he notably evoked moments with Gaël Monfils and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, even revealing which one he would choose to party with!

He explained: "I've known Jo since we were kids, and we've won everything.

We won the European Cup together, the U14 World Cup. We've done it all.

We went on vacation together, we always shared dinners in good restaurants in different towns. The same goes for Gael.

These are real friendships, not just tennis friendships. Who's the best at partying? Jo, Jo, definitely Jo.

Tsonga is by far the best at parties. We always have fun when we go out with him."

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.
