Insolite - Shapovalov: "Because I'm losing to Djokovic".
Denis Shapovalov is having a high-flying week in Belgrade.
After emerging from the qualifying rounds, he has just booked his place in the final by sweeping aside Jiri Lehecka in the semi-finals (6-2, 6-1).
Interviewed on court, Shapovalov wryly quipped about the support he enjoys in Serbia: "I didn't know I had so many Serbian fans, I think it's because I lose to Novak every time."
As a reminder, Novak Djokovic is 8-0 in head-to-head meetings with the gifted Canadian.
