Shapovalov's rebirth in Belgrade
Is Denis Shapovalov on the way back to the tennis that launched him into the world's Top 15?
After a fairly average season in which he gave his all to get back to his best tennis, the Canadian is enjoying his best tournament of the year.
A qualifier, the 25-year-old left-hander has just qualified for the final of the ATP 250 in Belgrade by giving Jiri Lehecka, ranked 31st in the world, a real tennis lesson (6-2, 6-1).
Buoyed by a serve and tennis as effective as it is aggressive, Shapovalov scored his sixth consecutive success and will now meet the winner of the 100% Serbian duel between Djere and Medjedovic in the final.
