Insolite - The magnificent reaction of Ebden, Djokovic's future opponent
On Thursday, Matthew Ebden gave us one of the finest possible reactions to the morning's singles draw.
Although he wasn't expected to play in the event, entered as an alternate, Andy Murray's forfeit meant he was included in the draw, as he wanted to focus on doubles.
However, fate didn't exactly favor him, as he inherited Djokovic in the first round and potentially Nadal immediately afterwards.
Faced with this little twist of fate, the Australian preferred to ironize the situation, posting a rather hilarious video on Instagram, with the caption: "When you learn that you're going to play the Olympic Games in singles as an alternate, only to draw Novak Djokovic in the first round and Rafael Nadal in the second."
