Clément Tabur played for his qualification in the main draw of Roland-Garros against Jianu in the second rotation on court 14.
In an atmosphere supportive of him, the French player won his third qualifying round at Porte d'Auteuil in two sets (6-4, 7-5). Invited by the organization, the 25-year-old had defeated the British former world number 21 Daniel Evans in the previous round (6-1, 6-3).
