Invited by the organizers, Guinard and Arneodo qualify for the doubles final in Monte-Carlo

Manuel Guinard and Romain Arneodo, who received a wild-card entry into the doubles draw, secured their spot in the Monte-Carlo Masters 1000 final this Saturday.

The Frenchman and the Monegasque player claimed the scalp of the pair Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten, this year's Australian Open champions, with a score of 6-4, 7-5. The duo is no stranger to upsets this week, having already eliminated Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos in the first round via a super tie-break (6-3, 4-6, 10-8).

Struggling in singles (ranked 311th in the world with just one win this season), Guinard will reach his career-high doubles ranking (at worst, 44th) and will compete in his first-ever Masters 1000 final in the discipline.

For Arneodo, this will be his second final on the Monaco clay, having previously reached the last stage of the event alongside Tristan-Samuel Weissborn in 2023 (losing to Dodig/Krajicek at the time).

They will face either the world number ones Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic or the British duo Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool tomorrow, following the men's singles final.
