It still hurts," Krejcikova reacts to her third-round exit and doubles withdrawal

Wimbledon defending champion Barbora Krejcikova was eliminated in the third round by Emma Navarro. In doubles, the Czech player was forced to withdraw on Monday due to a virus.
On her X account, she shared her feelings: "It still hurts. Wimbledon will always hold a special place in my heart.
Coming back after a six-month break due to a back injury, my goal was simply to step on the grass and get through the first round. That’s what I did.
And I started feeling like myself again. That’s what made my third-round loss so bittersweet. I felt good mentally, but during the match, my body just wouldn’t respond.
At first, I thought I’d eaten too early, but nothing helped, not even during the match. Later, I found out it was a viral infection that left me bedridden for days.
That’s what forced me to withdraw from doubles the next day, which was incredibly tough. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and the fight I showed.
And I’m so grateful for the love and energy from the Wimbledon crowd and fans. You’re truly amazing. See you next year, Wimbledon.
