"It's not acceptable," Connors questions Alcaraz's attitude in the Wimbledon final
Usually full of praise for Alcaraz, legend Jimmy Connors was critical this time of the Spanish prodigy. According to him, the world No. 2 should have been able to change tactics when Sinner dominated him during the Wimbledon final.
"It's not acceptable. No matter what happens, you have to push through, mix up your game a bit, or try something a little different. I know I say this often, but if your Plan A isn’t working, you need to think of something else. At Wimbledon, I’ve also been beaten a few times.
It happens to everyone, but if you want to beat me, you’ll have to dig really deep. I’ll try to play three different matches, so if you dominate me in the first and second sets, in the third, I’ll try to change my tactics," said the American on his podcast *Advantage Connors*.
For context, Connors played six finals in the legendary Wimbledon tournament. While he won the 1974 and 1982 editions, he lost four times, in 1975, 1977, 1978, and 1984.

But know one can read other people's minds. It could be Alcaraz just wasn't 100% and couldn't snap out of it.
