It's obvious that we have similarities," Djokovic discusses the resemblance of his playing style to Sinner's

Having secured a spot in the Wimbledon round of 16 after a solid victory against Miomir Kecmanovic, Novak Djokovic took the time to address the press.
The former world No. 1 was asked about Jannik Sinner and the similarities the young player shares with him in terms of playing style:
"It's obvious that we have similarities in our playing style. We both try to be aggressive, take the ball early, and dominate rallies from the baseline. I remember him when he was 13 or 14 years old. I met him and hit a few balls with him. He was tall and slender, a bit like me. He struck the ball with such speed. You could see he had great timing and power in his shots.
He also uses a Head racket. But he remains unique in his own way. The work he’s done with his team over the years is impressive, especially in terms of his progress. His serve, movement, precision… People talk a lot about his shot speed, but his timing is also exceptional.
He’s reduced the number of unforced errors he used to make in his early years. Now, he’s extremely precise and puts constant pressure on his opponents because he plays at such a fast pace. I’m happy to have influenced him in some way with my game. It’s fantastic to see him evolve and become a major player in men’s tennis.
