John McEnroe fan of Alcaraz: "He's the greatest talent I've seen in the last twenty years".
Present in the Bahamas, where he recently opened a tennis club in his name, John McEnroe was yesterday's guest on the Served with Andy Roddick podcast.
For an hour, the former American legend gave his opinion on a number of subjects, including the new generation of talent that has emerged in recent years.
On the case of Carlos Alcaraz, McEnroe was dithyrambic, while hoping that the Spaniard's height (1.83 m) would not be a disadvantage against his main rivals: "Alcaraz is the greatest talent I've seen in the last twenty years.
He's the one I enjoy watching the most.
Maybe even the greatest talent I've seen, certainly at this age. I'm only worried about his size, because the other players will drive him crazy.
They're going to serve from a mountain and that's going to frustrate him. That's what happened at the end of the season on several occasions.
I hope I'm wrong about him. And I still think he's going to win at least ten Grand Slams, which would be incredible."
