Journalist Tony Jones apologizes to Djokovic: "I again apologize to Novak"

End of the controversy in Melbourne.
Less than 24 hours after Novak Djokovic boycotted his post-match interview with Jiri Lehecka in the last 16, the former world No.1 received a public apology from Channel Nine journalist Tony Jones.
In a short video, Jones went back over his remarks and apologized to the player as well as to Serbian fans: "I had been made aware on Saturday that the Djokovic camp was not happy at all with these comments.
I contacted them immediately and apologized, which was 48 hours ago.
I apologize again to Novak, if he felt a lack of respect, which he clearly did. I must also say that this lack of respect extended to the Serbian fans.
We have a good relationship with them, and they bring a lot of color and passion. I feel like I've let them down."
Djokovic's response was published in a Tennis Australia statement:
"Novak acknowledges that the apology was made in public as requested. He will now move on and focus on his next match."
