Kasatkina wins her 7th WTA title at Eastbourne!
Daria Kasatkina won the 2024 Rothesay International on Eastbourne grass this Saturday. In the final, she beat Leylah Fernandez in almost two hours and two sets (6-3, 6-4). The world No.14 had to contend with a comeback from the Canadian, who won 4 games in a row in the 2nd set (6-3, 3-4). But the Russian managed to win the next 3 games to prevail (6-3, 6-4).
Kasatkina has thus done better than last year, when she was beaten in the final by Madison Keys. At the age of 27, she wins her 7th WTA title, her first since Granby in August 2022.
