Keys and three new players announced for new WTA tournament at Queen's

One of the new features on the WTA Tour this year is the appearance of a new grass-court tournament in preparation for Wimbledon, the only Grand Slam tournament to be held on the surface, during the month of June.
In recent weeks, Naomi Osaka was the first player to confirm her presence in London for the Queen's tournament.
Tournament director Laura Robson is keen to mark the return of the event, which hasn't been played since 1973 and will take place from June 9 to 15.
Having just won the Australian Open, Madison Keys, ranked 6th in the world and capable of playing well on grass (she reached the quarters at Wimbledon in 2015 and 2023), will be present in the English capital.
Daria Kasatkina, currently ranked 11th in the world, will also be in attendance, as will Katie Boulter, Britain's WTA No.1, and her compatriot Emma Raducanu.
Other top players are expected to join the cast, which is taking shape week by week. For the BBC, Laura Robson looks forward to welcoming all these players to the Queen's turf.
"Fans will see some of the best players on the planet, with three Grand Slam champions and Britain's number 1 among the participants. This promises a spectacular return of the Queen's tournament for women's tennis," said the former professional player, now 31.
