Kyrgios: Every time I step on the court, I don't know if I'm going to be controversial, for good or bad

Nick Kyrgios will make his return to the Australian Open when he takes on Britain's Jacob Fearnley (ranked 86th in the world) in the 1st round.

The atmosphere promises to be electric and tricky for his opponent, who will be playing the first match of his career in this tournament.

Before once again showing the Melbourne public what he's capable of, Kyrgios said he was happy to return to competition with the label of a controversial player: "I think people watch sport because they want to see personalities.

The fact that I'm back adds a few question marks to what's going to happen today. I love it.

Every time I step on the court, I don't know whether I'm going to be controversial, for good or for bad.

It's good to be back. I think it's important. I think the sport was becoming a bit ordinary."

Poor, poor nick. Forever will be remembered as the best, most talented player ever to be born who could not win many matches or tournaments 🙌
