Medvedev: "Anyone can hold the exchange with me now".
Beaten by Taylor Fritz in two sets in the first match of the ATP Finals, Daniil Medvedev took a beating both mentally and in terms of his level of play.
In a press conference, he insisted that he will find solutions to return to the forefront next season: "We'll try to make adjustments (with his team) because I feel I can still win against a lot of players. And I could have won today if I'd been in better shape or a bit luckier.
We'll have a good preseason and see what I can improve on my side. I feel I'm at a disadvantage, but I've got to do something about it. Everyone can hold the exchange with me now.
So every game I play, I know I have to hit everything that comes my way. The tactical aspect is secondary. You just have to hit hard and serve hard. So I'm going to work on that obviously."
