Medvedev eases into quarter-finals in Marseille
Daniil Medvedev defeated Pierre-Hugues Herbert (6-2, 6-4) in the 2nd round of the ATP 250 Marseille tournament.
The Russian, down to world No. 8 this week, was aided by his success on his first service ball (90% of points won), and was efficient on the few break points he won (3/4 converted).
In two sets and just over an hour's play, Medvedev didn't need to strain his talent to reach the quarter-finals of the tournament, where he will face the winner of the match between Jan-Lennard Struff and Hugo Grenier.
