Monfils ill in Vienna, doubts for Bercy?
Gaël Monfils won his first round match against Quentin Halys in Vienna yesterday (7-6, 6-3), but will be unable to continue the tournament after falling ill.
The Frenchman forfeited his 2nd-round match against Lorenzo Musetti. The Italian therefore advances to the quarter-finals, where he will face either Alexander Zverev or Marcos Giron.
As far as Monfils is concerned, this forfeit obviously calls into question his participation in the Bercy Masters 1000, which kicks off next week.
