Monfils on his future retirement: "I want it to be at Bercy or Roland Garros".
Gaël Monfils organized a Q&A on his YouTube channel, and addressed the topic of his retirement.
Internet users asked him how much longer he thought he'd be playing, and where he'd like to retire.
The Frenchman replied: "Honestly, I don't have a precise answer. I'd like to be an athlete who plays until the age of 40. There are a lot of 40-year-old athletes who are still performing at the highest level.
I don't know if I'll play beyond that. It's hard to say where I'll retire. Roland-Garros or Bercy come to mind.
Bercy, because it's the end of the year, and Roland-Garros, because it's still Roland-Garros. I want it to be one of those two.
I don't know yet, but I'll let you know soon enough.
