Moutet Eliminates Fognini and Advances to Face Zverev in Stuttgart

Corentin Moutet faced Fabio Fognini in the first round of the Stuttgart tournament. The Italian had received a wild-card as he is playing his final tournaments before retirement.

The Frenchman secured the victory with a score of 6-4, 6-7, 6-3. The match concluded with a very cold handshake between the two players.

Moutet will now face the top seed, Alexander Zverev, in the next round.

In a post-match interview, he said: "He tries to get into your head, but I tried to stay focused. I’m very happy to beat him. If I want to play good tennis, I have to stay in my zone.

It wasn’t easy because it’s my first grass-court match of the year."
