Rinderknech Defeats Shapovalov and Advances to the Second Round in Stuttgart

Arthur Rinderknech wasn’t favored in the draw at Stuttgart, as he faced the No. 5 seed, Denis Shapovalov, in his opening match.

However, the match started well for him with a break in the 5th game and a first set won 6-4.

The second set was more challenging as the Frenchman was broken twice and lost 6-2.

Rinderknech then regained his momentum in the final set, surprisingly clinching it 6-0.

In the next round, he will face Marton Fucsovics.
