This Friday marks the second day of the Cincinnati Masters 1000. Numerous first-round matches will take place in the coming hours. On Center Court, in the second slot, Borna Coric, the 2022 Ohio champion, will make his debut against qualifier Emilio Nava.

Following that, Alexandre Muller will take on Jenson Brooksby. In the evening session, Aleksandar Vukic, who replaced the withdrawn Gaël Monfils, will face Nishesh Basavareddy.

On the Grandstand, starting at 5 PM French time, Kei Nishikori will make his return to competition. The Japanese player, absent from the tour since May, will take on Camilo Ugo Carabelli.

At 1 AM on the same court, the second men’s match will feature Learner Tien against Leandro Riedi. As for Court 3, two men’s matches will kick off the day’s program: Tristan Boyer vs. Brandon Holt and Marcos Giron vs. Alexander Blockx.

Meanwhile, on Champions Court, three ATP tournament matches will follow in the latter part of the day. First, Hugo Dellien will challenge Reilly Opelka, Martin Landaluce will face Patrick Kypson, and Valentin Royer, who came through qualifying, will have to overcome Sebastian Ofner.

If successful, Royer would then meet a top seed in the form of Karen Khachanov, who just played the Toronto Masters 1000 final against Ben Shelton in Canada.

On Court 10, there will be two Serbia-USA clashes, as Miomir Kecmanovic first takes on Ethan Quinn, followed by Hamad Medjedovic against Aleksandar Kovacevic.

As for the last three courts, five more matches will take place throughout the day: Francisco Comesaña vs. Jaume Munar, Daniel Altmaier vs. Roberto Bautista Agut, Luca Nardi vs. Thiago Agusto Tirante, Adam Walton vs. Mariano Navone, and Mattia Bellucci vs. Damir Dzumhur.

More Than a Match: Pay Inequalities Between Women and Men in Tennis
Clément Gehl 21/12/2025 à 11h59
From the Williams sisters to Alizé Cornet, from sponsors to the ATP and WTA tours, the debate over pay equality in tennis has never been more intense. Between undeniable progress and persistent inequalities, the king of racket sports finds itself facing its own contradictions.

As we move to the end of this month and also closing out the year I am wishing all of those following me a Merry Christmas and a Happy/Healthy New Year.

Let's make that wish for all 2000 plus players hoping for 5 wins each day. Hoping ŵhen we open the results page to see all green, and no red. And especially NO CANCELED matches.

From me and my rotti JAZ, I bid you all good night, and see you in...

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.
