Musetti after Italy's Davis Cup triumph: "We're very close in this team".
Lorenzo Musetti, like Jannik Sinner, won the second Davis Cup of his career with victory over the Netherlands in the final.
Following his defeat by Francisco Cerundolo in the quarter-final against Argentina, the Italian No.2 was replaced by Matteo Berrettini for the rest of the week, who is more at ease in indoor conditions.
But after his nation's final victory, Musetti spoke above all of the excellent understanding that reigns within the Italian team: "We're very close in this team, we all support each other.
I'm very proud of the team and of being part of it. We mustn't forget all the people who are behind this success and those who have won games for the team who aren't here this week.
It's a great achievement to win the Davis Cup for the second time in a row."
