Nadal on his tribute at Roland-Garros: "I'm not very big on tributes"
Rafael Nadal received the Sports Icon award at the Laureus Awards this Monday. In an interview with Eurosport Spain, the Mallorcan was asked about the tribute planned for him at Roland-Garros on Sunday, May 25.
He stated: "No, I’m not very big on tributes, but it’s obvious that Roland Garros is the most important place in my career, without a doubt.
So, if something big is to be done there, it has to be there, or at least they should have priority in doing it there. That’s how things were planned from the start, and that’s it. I was delighted that it turned out this way.
This day on May 25 will be special, and I’m sure it will be an exciting moment."
