Nadal Receives Olympic Torch After Being a Flame Bearer in Paris
Last year, during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, Rafael Nadal participated in the Olympic torch relay, receiving the flame from Zinédine Zidane at the Trocadéro.
This was obviously a very special moment for the Spanish legend, who was an Olympic singles champion at the 2008 Beijing Games.
Several months after the ceremony, the former world No. 1 received a torch from the Olympic committee, as he shared on his social media:
"Thank you to the Olympics for sending me this very special torch. At the Paris Olympics, I experienced one of the most emotional days of my career, and I am thrilled to be able to keep this torch in a prominent place in the museum."
