Nadal reflects on comparison with Alcaraz: "We've all faced pressure from the media"
Due to his early success, Carlos Alcaraz was quickly compared to legend Rafael Nadal. With four Grand Slam titles by the age of 21, the native of El Palmar has surpassed his compatriot's achievements at the same age (3).
In an interview with CNN, the Mallorcan addressed this comparison. He also spoke about the difficulty of dealing with pressure:
"We've all faced pressure from the media. The expectations people place on you too, but I believe that, in the end, we are human beings. We know how to handle it. I don’t think it’s a problem for Carlos to manage this pressure.
He’s a great player, and he has a great family behind him. I think he’s doing very well, he’s had an incredible career so far, and he’ll win even more if he stays injury-free. That’s the most important thing. I truly hope he’ll have one of the greatest careers of all time."
