Norrie apologizes after losing in Auckland: "I'm very disappointed with my attitude".

Cameron Norrie's 2025 season isn't off to the best of starts.
After losing to Kei Nishikori in the quarter-finals of the Hong Kong tournament, the Briton fell at the first hurdle in Auckland.
Faced with lucky loser Facundo Diaz Acosta, Norrie never found the solution and lost in two sets (6-2, 6-3).
At the end of the game, after losing a point that gave the Argentine a match point, Cameron Norrie threw down his racket in rage, but it hit a spectator in the stands.
Play resumed and, in the end, Norrie lost. After the match, the 2022 Wimbledon semi-finalist made a point of apologizing.
"I missed the ball a lot, but I'm very disappointed with my attitude. I apologized to the lady I hit and she said she was fine.
She said she was enjoying her champagne, but I had no intention of doing that and it was a real wake-up call.
I didn't feel comfortable at all, I didn't have a good feeling with the balls. But credit to him, he was very solid.
Throwing my racket away like that doesn't sound like me at all, it's not who I am. I wanted to apologize to the lady and make sure everything was going well.
It's not a big deal, but as you've seen with other players, you can easily be disqualified if the racket or the ball ends up in the wrong place," he explained at the press conference.
