Now I know what Isner and Opelka feel," Alcaraz talks about his serving performance
Carlos Alcaraz won the Queen’s tournament this Sunday against Jiri Lehecka. He notably relied on his excellent serve, with 18 aces and 87% of points won behind his first serve.
In the post-match press conference, he discussed this aspect of his game: "After the match against Munar, I was disappointed with my serve. I tried to do something different in training to improve a bit in matches, and after that, I was very, very good.
Now I know what John Isner and Reilly Opelka feel when they play. Today, I made big progress.
When you play against a player who has an excellent serve, your serve has to be good too.
I’m happy about it, and I hope to keep this momentum going and do even better at Wimbledon.
