"Overall, I am ready," assures Svitolina ahead of her debut at the US Open

"I really don't have very good memories of the last two seasons when I played in New York, because I had major leg problems. Today, I am happy that this issue has disappeared, that last year's surgery fixed everything.
Overall, I feel good, even though in reality, you almost never feel completely good before a Grand Slam, because there is both stress and pressure. But that's normal, and I've already gotten used to it.
Every day, I try to work on different aspects of my game. I still have a few days left before the first match, so I have time to prepare physically and mentally. Overall, I am ready.
Against Anna (Bondar), we have already faced each other twice this year, on different surfaces (at Roland-Garros and Wimbledon, with two wins for the Ukrainian).
I am focusing more on our match at Roland-Garros, because it was a very good match and I was able to see her strengths. She serves well, she knows how to maintain the pace from the baseline, and she knows how to spin the ball well.
I need to prepare for her playing style. My coach and I have discussed the tactical aspects I need to use during the match. I hope the two victories I had against her this year will help me be more confident," elaborated Svitolina for the local media Tribuna.
