Pouille and Gasquet eliminated in Brisbane qualifying, Bonzi qualifies
Lucas Pouille and Richard Gasquet played the second and final qualifying round in Brisbane.
Having beaten Jason Kubler and Derek Pham respectively in the first round, the Frenchmen failed to qualify on Sunday.
Pouille lost to rising star Nisheh Basavareddy 6-4, 6-4. Gasquet lost to Yannick Hanfmann 7-6, 6-3.
Benjamin Bonzi managed to qualify, benefiting from Adrian Andreev's withdrawal at 3-1 in the first set.
Of note was Yoshihito Nishioka's qualification against Li Tu 6-3, 2-6, 6-4, and Dusan Lajovic's defeat by Federico Agustin Gomez 6-1, 7-6.
