Lucas Pouille is feeling better. After months of difficulties, the Frenchman, ranked 213th this week, is back in the final draw at Wimbledon.
After a very solid qualifying campaign in which he didn't drop a single set, Pouille made no secret of his delight at the prospect of once again treading the courts of the Temple of Tennis: "A lot of satisfaction, a lot of pride. When I arrived here, I didn't really know what to expect. I hadn't played since the qualifying rounds at Roland Garros, so it had been a good month.
The approach I took and the efforts I made on and off the court to get ready paid off. I arrived here in very good conditions and I'm very happy about that. When you go back to get your accreditation and you get your place in Wim's dressing room, that's something sacred.
I'm really happy to be back here. It's just great. That's why I keep playing: to play these tournaments and try to go as far as I can."
