Raducanu and Rybakina Face Tough Challenge in Their First Match Together in Washington

Raducanu and Rybakina faced an experienced pair, Mihalíková-Nicholls, in the first round of Washington.
Despite a logical loss in the first set with a harsh scoreline (2-6), the two players fought hard to snatch a tie-break in the following set (7-4). The battle didn’t stop there, as the super tiebreak was also fiercely contested (11-9). After 1 hour and 55 minutes of play, Raducanu and Rybakina narrowly clinched the match: 2-6, 7-6, 11-9.

While they had never played together on the tour before, their opponents, on the other hand, were coming off a streak of 3 wins and 2 losses.
In the next round, they will face the winners of the match between Olmos-Sutjiadi and Kato-Wu.
