Raducanu Dropped by Major Sponsor Over Deemed Excessive Demands
Emma Raducanu became one of tennis' global stars by winning the 2021 US Open at just 18 years old. This achievement allowed the British player to sign deals with numerous major brands.
In fact, according to *The Sun*, the young player’s earnings reportedly reached around £9 million. Among her top sponsors are Dior, British Airways, and Porsche.
However, the 21-year-old has reportedly lost a major sponsor. *Express* reveals that the telecommunications company Vodafone has ended its partnership with the 22-year-old player due to demands considered excessively expensive. This contract had been earning her £3 million per year.
On the sporting side, Raducanu has faced several injuries that have hampered her in recent months. After reaching the quarterfinals in Miami against Pegula (6-4, 6-7, 6-2), the Toronto-born player has climbed back into the world’s top 50.
