Emma Raducanu returns to the third round of a Grand Slam. The Brit dominated her friend Amanda Anisimova (6-3, 7-5) to reach the next round.
For a place in the second week, however, she has a real test ahead of her, as she will have to overcome world number 2 Iga Swiatek.
In a press conference, the 2021 US Open winner spoke of her upcoming confrontation with the Pole, who has already won five major titles.
"It's going to be a good match for me. I love playing against top players. It'll be an opportunity to test my game, to see where I'm at.
We've played each other twice on clay, so let's see what happens on hard court. She's already achieved a lot. I've got nothing to lose.
Iga is a top player, she's been one of the most consistent players for years now. I think I'm going to enjoy playing in this incredible atmosphere.
