Raducanu reacts to her Rome exit: "Defeats aren't as painful anymore"
Defeated by Gauff (6-1, 6-2), Raducanu was eliminated in the round of 16 at the Rome tournament. After a challenging few months, the British player is gradually regaining her footing. She spoke to Sky Sports after her loss:
"I want to keep improving and keep playing. I think that’s a positive for me. I don’t want to go hide in a hole somewhere—I want to get back on the court, so that’s good. We’ll see what happens next week, before Roland-Garros, if I make it to Strasbourg. But for now, I’ve played 12 days in a row, so I’m looking forward to a day off.
Defeats aren’t as painful anymore, because I know that every day, I’m trying to be the best version of myself. I didn’t win on the court, but I’ll find a way to win in my life today."
Additionally, while the Strasbourg tournament has announced its entry list, the wildcards have yet to be revealed.
