Sabalenka reacts after her victory: "It was a great battle"

Victorious over Ukraine's Kostyuk (6-1, 7-6), Sabalenka advances to the quarterfinals of the WTA 1000 in Rome, where she will face Zheng. The 26-year-old player is now on a streak of nine consecutive wins and 34 matches won in 2025.
Asked about her performance after the match, the Belarusian reflected on her evening in an interview shared by Tennis World Italia:
"It was a great battle, and I’m really happy with my performance. Thank you to the Romans for this incredible atmosphere. For players, it’s a dream to compete on such a beautiful court with such an enthusiastic crowd—I truly appreciate the support here."
The world No. 1 then humorously mentioned her favorite dish here:
"Yesterday, I didn’t have my favorite pasta, so I guess that’s why I wasn’t as sharp today. Hopefully, tomorrow’s pasta will help me in my next match."
