Casting for next week's WTA tournament in Abu Dhabi continues to be completed.

Following the announcement of the participation of several top 20 players such as Elena Rybakina, Jelena Ostapenko, Emma Navarro, Diana Shnaider, Paula Badosa, Beatriz Haddad Maia and Daria Kasatkina, Caroline Garcia has also received an invitation to take part in the event, which takes place in the United Arab Emirates.

And that's not all, as Emma Raducanu will also be taking part in the qualifying rounds. Up to 56th place, the Briton will be taking part in qualifying for the first time on the main circuit since the 2021 US Open.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.
